Com a melhora do instrumental de minilaparoscopia, novos procedimentos são propostos. A partir da experiência inicial do grupo da Universidade Positivo, o Dr. Gustavo Carvalho de Recife nos enviou uma comunicação sobre o seu primeiro caso de tratameto da doença do refluxo gastyro-esofágico através de uma mini fundoplicatura.

We did today our first Antireflux with the NEW Karl Storz equipment.


Procedure was very successful, patient discharged 6h after surgery
virtually painless. Procedure took 1h:36min (our average is 1h:22)


A 10 mm 30Degree camera hidden in the umbilical site, the liver was lift by 
a combination of 3mm palpation probe and 2 hanging sutures.


Just ONE UGLY 6mm trocar was used for the ligation of short gastrics
with Harmonic scalpel (still missing 3mm ROBI). Through this 6mm trocar 3.5 mm adapter 
was used and 3mm needle holder offered more precise suturing.

It is noticeable that the 3.5mm trocar made a more evident hole
when comparing with the mini chole (faster) cases with less than 40min.


I believe a photo taken 10 days later will be also interesting.
